This briefing, hosted during National Public Health week, addressed the restructuring of the U.S. Health and Human Services Department and the federal funding cuts for public health and mental health grants and how these changes are significantly impacting state and local public health capacity and services. The Milbank State Leadership Network hosted a virtual session for state legislators and legislative staff to hear directly from state and local public health officials.
