Bradford H. Gray

Bradford H. Gray has been editor of The Milbank Quarterly since 2000 and is also a senior fellow at the Urban Institute. He previously founded and directed the Division of Health and Science Policy at the New York Academy of Medicine and was the director of Yale University’s Institution for Social and Policy Studies and its Program on Nonprofit Organizations. At Yale, he was also on the faculty of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and directed its AHRQ-funded training program in health services research. He earlier spent ten years as a study director at the Institute of Medicine and as a staff member for two national bioethics commissions. He holds a PhD in sociology from Yale and is a fellow of the Hastings Center and AcademyHealth and a member of the Institute of Medicine.
