
Monsignor Charles J. Fahey is a program officer of the Fund. He is also a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse, New York, where he served as director of Catholic Charities. He is the Marie Ward Doty Professor of Aging Studies, Emeritus, at Fordham University. He was a member of the New York State Public Health Council and chair of the boards of Catholic Charities USA, the American Society on Aging, the National Council on Aging, and the Federal Council on Aging. Monsignor Fahey served as a spokesperson for the Holy See at the 1982 World Assembly on Aging and was a member of the U.S. delegation to the 2002 World Assembly on Aging. Currently he is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies and of the New York Academy of Medicine.
