
Carmen Hooker Odom is advisor to the president and former president of the Fund. Her previous positions include secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services; vice president of government relations for Quintiles Transnational Corporation in Research Triangle Park; group vice president for Carolinas HealthCare System; and member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives for nearly eleven years. She received a bachelor's degree in sociology and political science from Springfield College and a master's degree in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
