Facilitated by Lisa Dulsky Watkins, MD, the Milbank Medicaid Transformation Network’s priorities include improving access to high-quality primary care in historically and currently underserved populations; leveraging state leadership to increase multipayer primary care investment; and transforming the delivery system through primary care payment mechanisms and multidisciplinary structural supports.

The network’s monthly meetings include a mix of candid peer-to-peer discussions and relevant topical presentations by guest experts. “As a first-time participant in a Milbank convened learning network, I have been impressed not only by the ability to bring forth cutting-edge policy topics supported by high-quality national experts but also by the creation of a culture of openness, honesty, and vulnerability amongst this group of peers,” said MMT Network member Erin Flynn, Deputy Director of Payment Reform in Vermont. “I have come to rely on the network as a source of real-world Medicaid policy guidance and advice, as well as a source of inspiration and support along the often-bumpy road to value-based care.”
