State Representative, Louisiana
Annie Spell, MS, PhD, is a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, serving on the Health and Welfare, Transportation, and Retirement Committees, as well as the Louisiana Children’s Cabinet and Teacher Retirement System of Louisiana Board. Annie is an accomplished clinical psychologist, specializing in the care of children and adolescents. She is the co-owner of a Louisiana-based biotechnology company, Tides Medical, a market pioneer in amniotic-based skin substitutes. Deeply committed to community service, she serves as Chair of the Tides Medical Foundation and has served as a board member of the Louisiana East Texas American Cancer Society, Miles Perret Cancer Center, Autism Society of Acadiana, Hearts of Hope Center for Sexual Trauma, United Way of Acadiana, and countless other organizations. Annie lives in Lafayette, Louisiana with her husband, Joe, and their two sons, Foster and Tagg. She enjoys time with them one soccer field at a time across the Gulf coast.
