Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) seeks to develop practical, hands-on leadership skills to enhance health policy and management abilities and knowledge. Developed in 2015 by the Fund and its Reforming States Group (RSG), the program is designed to bring together individuals from the executive and legislative branches of state government to develop skills that will enhance their effectiveness as leaders in addressing the challenges of today’s complex health policy environment.

Modeled after the RSG, the ELP fosters the same type of learning and networking experience for young leaders around the country. Taught by expert trainers and policymakers, the program helps participants address the challenges and opportunities in today’s increasingly complex health policy environment. It also provides a unique opportunity to build a network of colleagues from across the country who share the goal of improving population health.

To participate, individuals are nominated by state health policy leaders from the RSG.
