Director, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services
As Director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Sarah Willson, RN, MBA, leads the agency responsible for protecting and promoting optimal health of Missourians. This includes overseeing a wide range of public health programs, from disease prevention and control to environmental health and emergency preparedness. Sarah works across departments and industry to promote healthy behaviors through public health education and outreach and provides essential collaborations and technical assistance to local health departments. She also advocates and informs on the importance of investment in public health funding and policy changes. Prior to joining the Department of Health and Senior Services, Willson served as Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for the Missouri Hospital Association for nearly a decade. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
