Margaret Flinter

Margaret Flinter, APRN, PhD, c-FNP, is the senior vice president and clinical director of Community Health Center, Inc. (CHC) and the Moses/Weitzman Health System. Margaret earned her BSN and PhD from the University of Connecticut and her MSN from Yale University. Margaret joined CHC as a National Health Service Corps Scholar and CHC’s first nurse practitioner in 1980. She has held both clinical and executive leadership roles in the organization, including founder of the Weitzman Center for Research and Innovation in Primary Care in 2005. Margaret developed the model of postgraduate residency training for new nurse practitioners and launched the first program at CHC in 2007. Margaret currently serves as the director emeritus of the Weitzman Institute, chairperson of the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers, and a fellow of both the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP).
