Emily Proehl, MPH, is a policy analyst with the health care transformation team at the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy, where she focuses on advancing value-based payment strategies within North Carolina Medicaid, supporting the NC State Transformation Collaborative (NC STC), and analyzing state and federal approaches to promote accountable care in the safety-net. She earned her Master of Public Health in Health Policy from the UNC-Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health and held research roles at the UNC School of Medicine, the UNC Center for Health Equity Research, and the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Florida.
