Catie Armstrong, MPH, is a Policy Analyst with the Health Care Transformation team at the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy. At Duke-Margolis, her work includes advancing value-based payment strategies within North Carolina Medicaid through the NC State Transformation Collaborative (NC STC), researching state and federal approaches to promoting accountable care in the safety-net, and supporting projects related to the intersection of private investment and improving health outcomes. Prior to her role at Margolis, Catie was a Graduate Fellow with North Carolina Medicaid, supporting state-level policy research and development, and also helped lead the communications response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a Public Information Officer with the NC Department of Health and Human Services. Catie has a Master of Public Health from the UNC-Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Journalism, Public Policy, and a minor in Social and Economic Justice also from UNC-Chapel Hill.
