Director, Office of Strategic Initiatives, Tennessee Department of Health
Jennifer E. Trail, MSSW, LAPSW, is Director of the Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) at the Tennessee Department of Health. In this role, she leads high-impact, statewide initiatives aimed at enhancing public health through collaboration, strategic planning, and grant management. As Deputy Director of OSI, she established a program to support the community health improvement process across 89 counties. Prior to joining the Tennessee Department of Health, she served at the Metro Public Health Department as the coordinator for ACE Nashville, focusing on county-wide prevention and mitigation of Adverse Childhood Experiences.
Her diverse work experience includes public health administration, non-profit management, child abuse prevention, and community organizing. Jen holds an MSSW from University of Tennessee College of Social Work and a bachelor’s degree in commercial music from Belmont University. When off-duty, she revels in gardening, exploring Nashville, and the joyous chaos of her two kids.
