Shelly Choo, MD, MPH, is Director of the Maryland Bureau of Maternal and Child Health and the former Chief Medical Officer with the Baltimore City Health Department and the Senior Medical Advisor with B’more for Healthy Babies. In her current role, she oversees key public health initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for families, including the Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant, the Maryland WIC Program, and the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System. In September, she will transition to a new role as the Director of Policy and Planning at the Behavioral Health Administration.
