State Representative, Louisiana
Stephanie Berault is the State Representative for Louisiana House District 76, serving Slidell and surrounding communities. A long time Northshore resident and graduate of St. Tammany Parish public schools, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Stephanie began her career in health care finance before serving as Louisiana Executive Director of HeartGift, where she helped provide life-saving heart surgery to children with congenital heart defects from around the world. Her health care experience now informs her work in the legislature, where she serves on the House Appropriations and Health and Welfare Committees, the Medicaid Oversight Committee, the Perinatal Task Force, and the Governor’s Fiscal Responsibility Program.
During her first term, Stephanie authored landmark “One Door” legislation to improve coordination of Louisiana’s safety net services while advancing initiatives to improve health care outcomes, strengthen government accountability, and support Louisiana families. She and her husband, Dr. Greg Berault, have been married for 30 years and have three children.
