Perrie Briskin is the Deputy Secretary for Health Care Finance and Director of Maryland Medicaid at the Maryland Department of Health, overseeing a $14 billion budget, 600+ staff, and health care coverage for 1.5 million members. She directs the state’s Medicaid policy, operations, financing, and delivery system strategy, working closely with state and federal partners to strengthen access to high-quality, affordable care. Perrie previously served as Chief of Staff for Maryland Medicaid and as Senior Policy Advisor to the Director of the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services at CMS, where she helped lead federal policy initiatives for 80 million enrollees across reproductive health and Medicaid unwinding. Perrie holds an MBA and MPH from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA from Barnard College.
