Senior Policy Advisor, Utah Department of Health
Nune Phillips serves as Senior Policy Advisor at the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, where she supports leadership in advancing the vision that all Utahns have fair and equitable opportunities to be healthy and safe. By analyzing cross-sector policies and guiding department-wide strategy, Nune contributes to a broad array of organizational goals. Her portfolio as Senior Policy Advisor also includes providing strategic oversight for Utah’s Rural Health Transformation Program.
Nune’s leadership background includes roles as Director of the DHHS Office of Early Childhood and Assistant Director of the Office of Child Care at the Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS). Her professional journey began as a frontline eligibility specialist at DWS and includes advocacy for nutrition assistance access at the Center for Law and Social Policy in Washington, DC. Nune holds a Master of Public Policy, as well as a bachelor’s degree in political science and consumer and community studies from the University of Utah.
