Melanie Schoenberg serves as Chief Administrative Officer for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, which oversees Medicaid and CHIP. In this role, Melanie serves as a key strategic and operational leader, providing high-level administrative direction and executive oversight to ensure that organizational goals, priorities, initiatives and related projects are implemented effectively and efficiently. As a trusted advisor to the Executive Director and senior leadership team, Melanie plays a central role in driving the completion of key initiatives to achieve department goals and to ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day operations in support of the department’s mission. Melanie has more than 20 years’ experience working with Medicaid-serving agencies, associations and providers on strategy, operations, policy, government relations, communications, quality improvement and finance.
