Kim Bimestefer, MBA, brings 20 years of executive leadership across commercial and government health care payers to her current role as Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing and CEO of Health First Colorado, Colorado’s Medicaid plan. In this position, she oversees all aspects, including strategy, enrollment, operations, compliance, total cost of care, budgets, financing, of Medicaid, CHIP and other safety net health care programs. She is also responsible for driving health care affordability solutions and innovations that meet the needs of all Coloradans and the state’s employers and taxpayers. These approaches include legislation, alliances, payment advances, transparency, as well as industry-leading reporting on cost drivers and solutions to address them.
