State Senator, Washington
Senator Jessica Bateman is dedicated to creating abundant housing, affordability for working families, and increasing equitable access to health care. She has sponsored legislation increasing Washington’s behavioral health workforce and assisting families of Alzheimer’s patients and seniors in long-term care. She was received both her master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from The Evergreen State College. A lifelong Pacific Northwest resident, Jessica previously served on the Olympia City Council and currently works as a health care strategic advisor for Washington’s Community Health Centers. She is committed to creating a just, inclusive, and healthy future for all Washingtonians. Jessica was elected to the Washington State House of Representatives in 2020 and the Washington State Senate in 2024.
