The Milbank Memorial Fund is a private foundation that works to improve population health and health equity.
Feygele Jacobs, DrPH, MS, MPH is professor of health policy and aanagement and director of the George Washington University’s Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health, the School’ s signature academic research and policy center devoted to community health centers and the medically underserved populations they serve. Prior to joining GW, she was President and CEO of the RCHN Community Health Foundation, a non-profit foundation dedicated exclusively, until its sunset in 2022, to supporting and benefiting the work of community health centers. She previously was Executive VP of the Ryan Community Health Network and its affiliate CenterCare, Inc., a health center owned and controlled managed care plan serving low-income people in New York City. Her career has included positions in both NYC and Boston’s public health care systems, and at a major teaching hospital network. A recognized expert on health center practice, policy and history, she has co-authored dozens of policy briefs, data notes and blog posts related to health centers, Medicaid and care for the underserved.
