The Milbank Memorial Fund is a private foundation that works to improve population health and health equity.
Doug Scaffidi is director of policy and services at the Greater New York Hospital Association. He contributed to this work while completing his Master of Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, concentrating in health policy. He is interested in leveraging government to ensure that every person has the opportunity to thrive. This particularly includes access to quality, affordable, equitable health care that is high value, and the broader goal of health in all policies. Prior to Harvard, Doug worked in the emergency department of a large academic medical center in Boston and in EMS. In addition to his MPH, he holds a BS from Syracuse University.
