The Milbank Memorial Fund is a private foundation that works to improve population health and health equity.
David Auerbach, PhD, is a health economist and senior director for research and cost trends at the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission. He is a nationally recognized expert on the health care workforce and is known for his rigorous projections of the physician, registered nurse, and nurse practitioner workforces. This work helps policymakers and health system leaders anticipate and plan for workforce supply over time. He is an Honorary Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and a Visiting Scholar at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. He holds a PhD in health policy from Harvard University.
