Conor M. C. Duffy

Conor M. C. Duffy, PhD, is a health psychologist at Virginia Commonwealth University with expertise in mixed-methods research, health and health care disparities, patient-clinician relationships, health care technologies, and clinician education/training. His research aims to combine qualitative and quantitative methods to generate knowledge that prepares clinicians and health care systems to deliver accessible, high-quality care to all patients. His graduate work examined patient and clinicians’ attitudes toward telehealth, the role of implicit bias in patient-clinician interactions, and clinician education/training. In his recent work as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Family Medicine and Population Health and a member of the Larry A. Green Center, he has focused on better understanding the foundations of primary care, the health care needs of primary care patients, and the experiences of the clinician workforce.
