The Milbank Memorial Fund is a private foundation that works to improve population health and health equity.
Andreas Stomby, MD, PhD, is a specialist in Family Medicine and a practicing primary care physician in Region Jönköping County, Sweden. He currently serves as president of the Swedish Association of General Practice (Svensk Förening för Allmänmedicin, SFAM), a position he has held since 2025. Dr. Stomby is an Associate Professor (Docent) of Family Medicine at Linköping University, where he is also active as a lecturer and clinical teacher in the medical program. His research focuses on type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and low-value care, with a particular interest in how primary care structures and clinical decision-making influence patient outcomes.
