The Milbank Memorial Fund is a private foundation that works to improve population health and health equity.
Alex Hoyt, PhD, RN, FAAN, is an associate professor in the School of Nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. He is a nursing health services researcher whose work examines how professional nursing policy shapes advanced-practice registered nurse practice, including the alignment between NP certification and practice population, and the relationship between doctoral education and NP autonomy. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and has contributed to the AACN Essentials Tool Kit. He holds a BA in sociology/anthropology from Denison University, an MS in nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, and a PhD in social policy from Brandeis University.
