Division Chief, District of Columbia Department of Health
Jo-Ann Jolly serves as the Division Chief for Risk Reduction within the DC Department of Health’s Community Health Administration. In this role, she leads programs, policies, and initiatives aimed at improving environmental and behavioral risk factors for chronic disease. Her portfolio includes expanding access to healthy foods and nutrition education, increasing safe and supportive spaces for physical activity, strengthening the built environment, and reducing the use of tobacco, marijuana, and e‑cigarettes.
Prior to this role, Jo-Ann was part of the District’s COVID‑19 Emergency Response, where she led training and change management efforts. She is a registered dietitian nutritionist with a Master of Public Health and brings extensive experience in public service. Jo-Ann lives in Washington, DC, and enjoys biking around the city with her husband and two children.
