State Representative, Connecticut
Kai Belton is a Connecticut State Representative serving the 100th District, where she is committed to advancing policies that improve health equity, strengthen families, and expand access to quality care. As Vice Chair of the Public Health Committee, Chair of the Black Maternal and Infant Health Caucus, and a member of the Committee on Children and Appropriations Committee, she champions legislation addressing maternal health, mental health, women’s health, and community well-being. Outside the legislature, Kai is a licensed social worker, therapist, and founder of Radical Self-Love University, an initiative that empowers women through mindfulness, healing-centered practices, and personal growth. Her professional background includes leadership in domestic violence prevention, trauma-informed care, and community resilience. Guided by a belief that healthier communities begin with healthier people, Kai brings a collaborative, compassionate, and equity-centered approach to public service and leadership development.
