Medicaid Medical Director, Wyoming Department of Health
Tracey Haas, DO, MPH, is the Medicaid Medical Director for the Wyoming Department of Health. In this role, she leads state health strategies with an emphasis on maternal and child health, serving as Medical Director for Wyoming’s Title V program and the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, as well as a member of the Maternal Mortality Review Committee. An advocate for expanding health care access, she chairs the Wyoming Telehealth Consortium and serves on the Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center Advisory Board.
Since the announcement of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) in late summer 2025, she has served on Wyoming’s RHTP steering committee, focusing on expanding and transforming rural primary care education and access points. Throughout her career as a family physician, she has participated in local, state, and national advocacy, leveraging cross-sector partnerships to shape evidence-based health policy and advance health care delivery in rural and other underserved areas.
