State Senator, New Hampshire
Senator David Rochefort represents Senate District 1 in the New Hampshire State Senate, one of the state’s largest and most economically challenged districts. He chairs the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, focusing on policy that addresses the needs of rural communities, including health care access, environmental stewardship, forestry, and outdoor recreation.
A second-generation pharmacist, David earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island in 1997. He founded New Hampshire’s first sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacy, which became the first in northern New England to earn PCAB accreditation. He previously served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, as President of the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy, and on the boards of national pharmacy organizations.
Born and raised in the North Country, David lives there with his wife of 27 years and their three daughters and represents more than 50 communities across the region.
