State Representative, Alabama
Laura Hall, MS, was first elected to the Alabama House of Representatives by special election in August 1993. She was re-elected in 1994, 1998, 2001, and 2006. She is the first African-American woman to represent House District 19. Her committee assignments have included: Judiciary, Joint Interim on Medicaid, Public Safety, Welfare, Health, Industrial and Economic Development, Joint Budget and Finance and Government Finance and Appropriations.
Laura is a retired educator whose tenure extended for over 40 years. She holds a BS in biology from Morris College, a master’s degree in Science Education from The Ohio State University, and certification in K-12 Administration from Alabama A&M University.
