In April of 2016 the state of Florida established the Telehealth Advisory Council, tasked with making recommendations intended to increase the use and accessibility of services provided via telehealth. In December of 2016, the Council released a report of survey results on the scope of telehealth activities in the state, indicating the type and extent of the use of telehealth, the estimated costs and cost savings, and which payers cover telehealth services.
